It’s hard to believe that almost a year has gone by since our Experimental Race at Oude Molen! We have had a very exciting and successful inaugural year of the Corporate MTB League, with such beautiful venues and routes that had the riders in ecstacy. Steve Shapiro of Ride magazine wrote a full page article in the June edition where he said “the first race of the league’s season near Somerset West the other day, was such a success – so old fashioned- lekker that there is no way it won’t catch on…”
Some of the comments received from our teams:
“Thanks for a great event – a really good course and nice venue” – Team Appletizer
“Geluk met die eerste race – dit was uitstekend” – Team K-Pack
“Only an unexpected death or loss of a limb, could lead to the substitution of one of the Team Suunto members, and even then only if the prosthetic limb replacement proves to be inefficient. We are really looking forward to Grabouw as it promises to be an awesome route.”
“What a race. Hard, amazing views, stunning single track most of the way and so competitive without the huge crowds. It was a great feeling when we passed the teams ahead of us yet the pressure that a team was breathing down our necks was always a worry. I have never done a race like that before” – Jane Seggie and Ann Harrison.
